Anak Bapak
Anak Bupak is a Muslim-owned hawker stall that serves beef bak kut teh and char kway teow! Served piping hot in a claypot, the BKT soup is made with the typical bak kut teh ingredients such as dang gui, wolfberry and garlic. The soup doesn’t differ much from the Chinese version, with a strong herbal flavour yet not overwhelming with a subtle beefy flavour. The chunks of beef are tender and fall-off-the-bone, and the dish is simply perfect with a bowl of white rice. Not feeling BKT? That’s alright, because their menu boasts more than 20 dishes!
