Ah Lock Hakka Tofu Bowl

The signature dish here is the Hakka Tofu Rice Bowl, a combination of the owner’s grandmother’s decades-old Hakka yong tau foo recipe, lei cha (thunder tea rice) and the Japanese donburi. In this creation, tofu and taupok are stuffed with minced pork belly, deep fried, and then served on warm Japanese short-grain rice. They are accompanied by manicai (sweet leaf) and long beans, drizzled with a soybean-based sauce.
