Koung’s Wantan Mee
With humble beginnings as a pushcart, Uncle Koung opened his own wanton mee stall in 1964 in Geylang, moving from lorong to lorong until settling in the current location. The springy egg noodles here are coated in a savoury sauce, topped with charcoal oven-roasted tender char siew and juicy wantons individually wrapped at the stall. The chilli sauce is also handmade and each plate of noodles comes with a side of peppery soup. The sad news is that the stall will be closing by the end of December 2023, so make sure to visit while you still can!
