5 Prettiest Rooftop Gardens to Check Out in Singapore

If going cycling or hiking in Singapore isn't really your thing but you still want to get away from the crowd, maybe you can explore rooftops gardens in Singapore! Many of them are centrally located, and not to mention you can also enjoy some pretty views while you’re at it! Here are some of the prettiest rooftop terraces and rooftop gardens you can find in Singapore.

1. CapitaSpring

A rooftop garden located on the 51st storey of Raffles Place, the open-air terrace provides you with 360-degree views of Marina Bay and the CBD. The garden has winding aerial pathways where you can stroll through while sheltered from the sun.  It is also home to the highest urban farm, where edible plants such as radish, tumeric and spinach are grown! They will be part of a farm-to-table initiative for two new F&B concepts opening here at the rooftop later in the year.

2. Pinnacle@Duxton

Two beautiful rooftop gardens sit in this 50-storey, state-of-the-art HDB in Singapore. Although the 26th floor is for residents only, the public can still access the 50th floor sky bridge. You’ll be greeted by a stunning view that stretches from the sea and Keppel Terminal all the way to the skyline of downtown Singapore! It’s certainly a fantastic place to listen to music, take a stroll or just hang out.

3. Skyville@Dawson

Nearby Pinnacle@Duxton, check out another breezy rooftop garden! With a walking track measuring 300m and panoramic views of the Singapore coast and skyline, it's an excellent place to check out, be it in the day or night. There are also benches here for a dinner date or to do some work outside in the sunshine!

4. Funan Urban Farm

Located on the seventh floor of Funan is an 18,000sq ft Food Garden. One of the few urban farms in Singapore open to the public, here you can find more than 50 types of fruits and vegetables such as mushrooms, edible flowers, okra, watermelon, passionfruit and more, and you can also learn how they are produced and harvested!

5. National Gallery Singapore

The largest art gallery in Singapore is also home to one of the prettiest rooftop gardens in Singapore! Surrounded by pretty green walls, a water feature, and beautiful views of the downtown area, you will find over 30 varieties of plant species here, but none of the plant labels we’re used to seeing in public parks. This is intentional, so that the public can connect with the unfamiliar plants in a less didactic manner.
