5 Craft Beer Bars and Breweries in Singapore

Singapore’s craft beer scene is thriving, as anyone who has been to a Beerfest Asia will tell you. We’ve also seen many taprooms and microbreweries popping up around town in recent years, along with an explosion of imported craft beers from around the globe. For the pint-loving hopheads out there, here are some of the best craft beer bars in Singapore.

1. Smith Street Taps

An all-taps beer hawker stall in Chinatown featuring 20 premium local and international craft beers on tap, Smith Street Taps is our go-to for affordable pints and local hawker grub. Highlights include Pentrich Brewing Co’s Shine Like Trillions and locally brewed Saturday Saranghae from Alive Brewing. Make sure to dress comfy for the weather!

2. Little Island Brewery Co.

This 10,000 sq ft microbrewery serves up an array of craft beers catered to local palates, including the SPA (Singapore Pale Ale). Pair that with some tantalising 15-hour smoked beef brisket and melt-in-your-mouth pork belly and you have what is quite possibly a perfect night out! It’s also located in Changi Village, so you can enjoy it alongside the sea breeze, rustling trees and starry skies.

3. Druggists

Druggists boasts one of the most extensive selections of sour beers, imperial stouts and IPAs here in Singapore. The snacks all have a local flair to them, like har cheong gai, five spice chicken roll and seafood youtiao. Indoor, alfresco and lounge seatings are available, and in case you’re feeling lazy, Druggists is also on GrabFood too!

4. Orh Gao Taproom

Named after the Hokkien moniker for Guinness stout, Orh Gao Taproom offers 10 exciting taps of local and international craft beers, along with Asian classics like beef rendang and har cheong gai to line your stomachs. With its lively atmosphere and knowledgeable staff, it’s no wonder why they quickly became a hit with craft beer lovers and nearby residents alike.

5. American Taproom

American Taproom might not be all-American in its tap list, but no one is complaining about its jaw-dropping arsenal of 30-over taps. You’ll find a ton of IPAs on the menu, as well as stouts, meads, ales, and everything else. The bar’s namesake comes from the food menu, which is filled with all-American bites such as burgers and buffalo wings.
