5 New Things to Do in Singapore This May 2022

We’ve waited a long time and we’re thrilled that Singapore is opening up to more live events, gigs and festivals again. If you’re not one of those travelling over the long weekends in May, these new things to do in Singapore will keep you plenty entertained.

1. Projector X: Electric Cinema

Not sure about you but we love old, abandoned spaces. If you’re also a movie buff who has a penchant for such locations, you won’t want to miss Projector X: Electric Cinema. From May 6 to 8, Pasir Panjang Power Station will be converted into a massive pop-up cinema. You’ll find films of all genres such as Dune, Blade Runner, The Electrical Life of Louis Wain, and local comedy Tiong Bahru Social Club.

2. K.STAR Karaoke

Karaoke is back in full swing! No better way to celebrate that than with a visit to K.STAR Karaoke’s latest space-themed outlet at Plaza Singapura. There are a whole slew of room themes, but the most impressive has to be special Panorama Rooms with 360-degree wall projection screens! Did we also mention that they’re open till 3am daily? This place is truly a haven for music-loving night owls.

3. Mud Krank

Experience the great outdoors in a different way with Singapore’s first and only ATV trail riding facility! Located on a farm in rural Kranji, Mud Krank lets you experience off-roading through dirt trails. Even kids as young as four can get in on the fun – all you need to do is just put one foot on the pedal and steer away!

4. The Parlour

There are new bars popping up constantly but The Parlour caught our eye for being the first NFT bar and lounge in Singapore. Web3 enthusiasts should most definitely drop by to check out the NFT art pieces and events here. Spanning two floors, The Parlour also features a bar which serves craft beer and Japanese- and Mediterranean-style cuisine. Along with that, patrons will also find a dedicated lounge where they can mingle and socialise with like-minded folks!

5. Scentopia

Love smelling good? Sentosa’s newest attraction has everything to do with perfumes. At Scentopia, you’ll get to go on guided perfume tours, learn about the history of perfume and fun facts about our sense of smell, as well as learn how to make your own fragrances! Find out your perfume personality and pick from a massive array of over 6,000 scents to create a blend that is uniquely you!
