Want to try something new apart from the conventional hotel staycations? How does glamping at the airport sound for a change?
Changi Airport announced on its Facebook page on Tuesday (Nov 17) some new experiences and activities that are taking place this year-end, including the unique opportunity to have a “glampcation” at Jewel Changi Airport. You can choose between two locations for this unique staycay: at the Cloud9 Piazza or the Shiseido Forest Valley.
The Glampcation in the Clouds experience will come with an unrivaled view of the iconic waterfall, along with a queen sized and single sized bed, with the option to add another bed if there are more than two people in the tent. Pillows, air coolers, toiletries, and an ice cooler box will be provided, along with add-on options like a customized sign, lamp and mug. You can even take it a step further and request for a picnic and a movie screening to be set up!
If you prefer waking up around lush greenery, the Glampcation at Shiseido Forest Valley can fit more with two queen size beds and also comes with extra items such as a perfume, portable charger, and a welcome basket full of festive items.
Both options offer access to shower facilities at Changi Lounge, along with other perks such as tickets to attractions like the Canopy Park and Changi Experience Studios, as well as free parking.
Prices for both packages start from S$320 per night on weekdays and S$360 on weekends, public holidays and the eve of public holidays. There’s also a special soft-launch price of S$288 for stays between Nov 23 and Nov 26. Check-in is at 7pm and check-out at 10am the next day.
If you'd rather not stay overnight, there is also an option to have your own "glampicnic" at the Cloud9 Piazza on the top floor for up to five persons. The three-hour picnic session does not include food, but comes with the picnic basics set up like table setting, cutleries, disposable plates and wine glasses; cushion seats and a cooler box with ice.
There are two three-hour slots per day – 11.15am to 2.15pm and 3pm to 6pm. Prices start from S$160 from Mondays to Thursdays and S$180 for Fridays to Sundays, public holidays and eve of public holidays.
