It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas, especially so at Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES.
You may have previously seen the igloo-like domes outside Capitol Singapore, with people dining or playing board games inside, and it looked like quite the unique and Instagrammable experience. But to the dismay of many, the experience ended on Nov 15 and the establishment said that it would only be back next year.
If you didn’t get the chance to experience the whimsical, air-conditioned domes, we have some good news: they are now open for bookings again, and it's available at not one, but two locations!
The best part? Booking is free for up to two hours! All you have to do is go online to book a slot and make a purchase of food or beverages from the shops in Capitol Singapore or CHIJMES.
The Land of Snowflakes at Capitol Singapore's Outdoor Plaza have been decked out with Christmas decor and there are also board games available. Bookings for Capitol Singapore can be made from Nov 20 to Dec 25 from 12pm to 10pm here.
And you manage to get an evening slot, there will be "snowfall" at 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm to complete the winter wonderland experience.
Christmas shopping is also made easier at the Land of Sweets at the Arcade @ The Capitol Kempinski. You can shop at more than 20 Christmas booths, selling everything from tea sets to candles and essential oils. The celebration continues with light projection shows, Instagram-worthy installations, and an 8-metre tall Singing Tree that will belt out holiday tunes at various time slots.
For a tropical getaway, go for the Land of Flowers at CHIJMES from November 20 to January 3. Here, the domes are sheltered under a canopy of trees, and they are decorated with beautiful potted plants.
At night, there will also be a light and music projection show of Nutcracker-themed Christmas scenes on the facade of CHIJMES Hall. Bookings are available from Nov 20 to Jan 3, 12.30pm to 10.30pm. They are similarly available in two-hour blocks here, on a first-come-first-serve basis.
