S$100 SingapoRediscovers Vouchers: How to Redeem and Where You Can Use Them

Christmas is arriving early this year! After much anticipation, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has finally released more details on the SingapoRediscovers vouchers, which will be distributed from Dec 1.

If you need a refresher, every Singapore citizen aged 18 and above this year will receive S$100 worth of SingapoRediscovers Vouchers – which can be used on staycations, attraction tickets and tours – as part of the S$320 million campaign to boost domestic tourism.

How to redeem the vouchers?

The vouchers will be distributed in denominations of S$10, and will be transferred digitally via the SingPass government portal.

STB said the redemption of vouchers 'will adopt a digital mode by default'.

But what if I don't have a SingPass account?

On 3 Nov 2020, Minister of State for Trade and Industry Alvin Tan said in parliament that up to 66 counters will be set up across Singapore to help those without a SingPass account redeem their physical SingapoRediscover vouchers.

Each public housing estate will have at least 1 redemption point, and they will be set up by the following booking platforms: Changi Recommends, Trip.com, Klook, GlobalTix, and Traveloka.

There will also be ambassadors deployed to help the elderly with the redemption process, and STB is also working with the People’s Association (PA) to have counters available at about 40 community centres.

What attractions can I use the vouchers on?

There are a total of 37 attractions you can use your vouchers at in the SingapoRediscovers scheme.

Notable attractions include Universal Studios Singapore, the ArtScience Museum, and Gardens by the Bay. Animals lovers can go for Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, S.E.A. Aquarium, River Safari, and Jurong Bird Park. And those who want a little more adventure and adrenaline rush can try AJ Hackett, HydroDash or iFly Singapore.

What if I want a staycation instead?

With border restrictions destroying all of our vacation plans, it might be a ways before we can travel for leisure again.

In the meantime, we can have a little staycation right here in our little island.

As part of the SingapoRediscovers scheme, Singaporeans will be able to use their $100 voucher at 147 hotels across the city.

They include the iconic Marina Bay Sands, Shangri-la, Mandarin Orchard, Capella, Four Seasons Singapore, The Capitol Kempinski and many more.

Can I use it for local tours?

Many of us have lived here for several decades, but yet there are still parts of Singapore that we've never explored before.

79 tours will be available as part of the scheme, ready to take you around the country. Go on unique experiences such as paranormal tours, kayaking tours that take you through our serene mangroves, cable car rides and many more.
