Remember when we shared about Butterknife Folk in a previous article and the creative local flavours including ones for last year's National Day? Well, they're back at it again! This time, they're coming up with over 40 new ice cream flavours. Some of them we find really intriguing, and some that are less predictable have us raising our eyebrows wondering how they'll taste!
From August 1 - 30, you can expect to see more than 40 local-inspired ice cream flavours going on rotation at their store in Funan Mall. If you adore sweet and savoury combinations, and relish in the likes of sea salt caramel, sweet corn and parmesan cheese ice cream, you'll be happy to know that there will be some interesting flavours like Chicken Rice (which will be making a comeback from previous years), Salted Egg Cereal, Chilli Crab, and even Chee Cheong Fun!
If the sweet and savoury combination is not your way to go, why not take a trip down memory lane and thrill your inner child instead, with the sweeter flavours like Milo Van Milo (also another flavour making a comeback) and White Rabbit Candy?
And if you prefer the conventional route and want to stick to flavours that are not too out there, then their traditional yet fun flavours might just be for you. Think Muah Chee, Orh Nee and Almond Paste Black Sesame Tang Yuan!
The folks behind Butterknife Folk are going full-on local mode this August, removing their usual flavours and featuring only Singaporean flavours for the entire month. We're not gonna spoil the surprise for you by listing out all the flavours, so stay tuned on their social media pages for the official announcements! Better yet, bring a friend or two and head down to Funan Mall to savour the entire experience for yourselves.
A single scoop of ice cream at Butterknife Folk will set you back $5, while a double scoop is $9. There is also a Mini Cone Trio going at $5 a pop! For the remainder of July, you can still get their featured flavours of the week such as Blueberry Cheesecake, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Pistacchio, Strawberry Milk & Oats and Roquefort Bleu.
