Tempura Tendon Tenya is Japan’s most famous tendon chain restaurant, opening here in 2020 to much fanfare. An abbreviation for tempura don, the tendon here is light, airy and crispy, and comes drizzled with Tenya’s signature tare sauce. It’s specially blended for Tenya by a traditional soy sauce maker in Japan and has grilled eel essence in it, giving it an extra oomph in flavour. Seafood lovers should try the Seafood Tendon which comes with an assortment of tempura Black Tiger prawn, anago, scallop, red fish, pumpkin and French beans. Or, go for the Tori Tendon which is mix of tempura chicken, chicken karaage, tempura egg, sweet potato and pumpkin. Those who prefer noodles will be glad to know that there are also soba, somen and udon alternatives!
