Soon Kee Wanton Mee

There are three wanton mee stalls here but Soon Kee Wanton Mee draws in the longest queue. While old-school wanton mee is relatively common in Singapore, this stall is especially known for the chilli sauce that they add to toss with the noodles. Made with shrimp, it is addictive and packs a punch! The egg noodles are slightly thicker than normal, and it is topped with lean char siew and dumplings. While individually they are nothing to shout about, it’s how the dish comes together that makes it so delectable.
