Taking the centerstage this year at Mandarin Oriental Singapore is the Oriental Beauty tea mooncake made with ginger and red dates — available in both baked and snowskin styles. Another new addition is the baked Low Sugar Chestnut with Cashew Nuts and Truffle featuring a smooth chestnut filling, aromatic truffles and crunchy cashews. For snowskin creations, the hotel takes inspiration from Peranakan heritage for the Lemongrass Lotus with Ginger snowskin mooncake, enveloped in a rich, silky lotus paste and the citrusy flavours of lemongrass and ginger zest. These traditionally baked and snowskin mooncakes are available in sets of two or four, each packed individually in tin boxes and housed in an elegant trio of ivory, lilac, and red-coloured boxes embellished in floral motifs.
