12 Stalls At Redhill Food Centre You Must Try
One of the oldest hawker centres in Singapore, Redhill Food Centre was built in 1972 to complement the wet market next door. Today, it remains home to close to 100 food stalls, some of them being heritage stalls with over half a century of history behind them. Even though it may be one of the more underrated hawker centres in Singapore, Redhill Food Centre definitely has its fair share of loyal customers who have been coming here for their favourite food for years.

Ali Fatimah Food Stall
If you’re up early and here for breakfast, check out Ali Fatimah Food Stall for their crispy pratas. It’ll be hard to miss this stall – they draw in some of the food centre’s longest morning queues! Bak Kee Teochew Satay Bee Hoon
Satay bee hoon is a dish you don’t find often at hawker centres, and Bak Kee Teochew Satay Bee Hoon is supposedly one of the best in Singapore. Get ready to queue at least 15 minutes for a plate, which consists of thin bee hoon topped with pork slices, pork liver, cockles, tau pok, beansprouts and kang kong, all generously smothered in a peanut satay sauce. It is mildly spicy and slightly sweet, a...
Fei Zai Xiang Shao La Wanton Mee
Craving for some good Hong Kong-style char siew? Fei Zai Xiang Shao La Wanton Mee serves up a mean plate of wanton mee with fatty char siew. The edges were caramelised and slightly charred for that beautiful smoky fragrance. They might not be the juiciest or the most tender, but they are definitely above average. The noodles were springy and eggy, and tossed in a sauce that was thick and savoury....
Fu Ming Cooked Food
Michelin Bib Gourmand-approved carrot cake anyone? Head on over to Fu Ming Cooked Food, where the carrot cake is made entirely from scratch. It has a pleasant soft, moist and springy texture, and you can get it in both white or black. The former boasts crispy eggy bits, while the latter – which we personally prefer – is a sweet and savoury delight that pairs well with the spicy chilli sauce. Ad...
Hong Seng Curry Rice
What’s not to love about a good old plate of Hainanese curry rice? Hong Seng Curry Rice has been in business for over 20 years and today it’s run by the 3rd generation. Instead of the usual sweeter Hainanese curry, the curry here has a stronger flavour, more spicy and more assam, much like curry fish head. Take your pick from an array of tasty items such as pork chop, braised trotters, curry chick...
Jia Xiang Mee Siam
With a history of over half a decade, the 3rd generation owner continues to serve up mee siam, lontong and nasi lemak having inherited the family recipes from her mother. The must-try mee siam comes with a myriad of ingredients atop the bee hoon, such as hard-boiled eggs, tau pok, flour puffs, fried ikan billis, a dollop of chilli and homemade shallot oil. Once you taste the soup gravy, you’ll be...
Qing Tian Hot & Cold Dessert
Round up your meal at Redhill Food Centre with something from Qing Tian Hot & Cold Dessert. You might even have seen pictures of PM Lee queuing here too! Take your pick from old-school desserts such as tau suan, cendol, cheng tng, and if you’re here on a hot day, try some sea coconut iced jelly, mango milk ice, or the classic ice kachang! We also love the jovial stall owner uncle, who can often be...
Seng Heng Braised Duck Noodles
The famous braised duck noodles here is available in soup or dry, and make sure you get here early because they open at 7.30am and tend to sell out by 9am! The Hokkien-style braised duck is seasoned with just the right amount of spices and the meat is tender and succulent. The chilli really brings the dish together, and whether you go for soup or dry, the herbal soup is rich, earthy and nourishing...
Shi Le Yuan
Looking to warm up your soul? Shi Le Yuan is another Michelin-approved stall specialising in comforting kway chap swimming in a light yet aromatic herbal broth. It comes with an assortment of ingredients like braised pig’s skin and intestines, fish cakes, hard-boiled eggs, tau pok and tofu. We think that this is definitely some of the best kway chap in Singapore, even if they might not top the lis...
Yan Fried Bee Hoon
Even PM Lee has to queue for the chicken wings from Yan Fried Bee Hoon, even though it’s worth noting that the previous owner has sold the business to Eng Kee Chicken Wings. It’s not entirely the same anymore, but the crispy fried chicken wings still make for an indulgent treat. Pair it with some of their bee hoon and maybe other sides like luncheon meat, fried egg and veggies, and you have a comp...
