Spring is here early this year, with early sakura blooms already sighted in Japan. Even though we won’t be able to catch the pretty pink blooms this year, a local dessert bar is bringing a piece of Japan’s cherry blossoms to us.
Time to schedule a meet up with your bestie, because 2am: dessertbar is launching a new Strawberry Sakura High Tea set from 6 March 2021. It features fresh Hanami Sakura flowers specially flown in from Nagoya, Japan. This high tea set will only be available for three weeks and slots are filling up fast, so make sure to book a reservation as soon as you can!
Conceptualised by pastry chef Janice Wong, the high tea set invites you to experience a taste of all things strawberries while being surrounded by pretty cherry blossoms. Get ready to go on a gastronomical adventure, because the extensive menu for two includes Strawberry Yuzu Opera cake, the 2am:dessertbar Signature Strawberry Caprese with Roku Gin, Compress Korean Strawberries with Sweet Milk, Strawberry Sakura and Sakura Caramel chocolate bonbons. You will also enjoy Strawberry Kakigori, Strawberry Tart, Strawberry Green Tea Monaka, Strawberry Mochis, Strawberry Basil mousse cake, Ichigo Daifuku and Gyozas to complete the Sakura-themed experience.
