Singapore’s first floating inflatable waterpark is here! Here’s what you need to know about this massive kid-friendly aqua park in Sentosa that’s full of obstacles, slides, and even trampolines.
HydroDash is located on the waters of Palawan Beach, a short walk away from Sentosa’s Beach Station. It’s basically a mega bouncy castle and obstacle course many notches above the small pasar malam ones we played on as kids. Here you can climb, slide, leap and bounce to your hearts' content... If you can keep your balance! Or else, it’s into the sea you go!
This new water park looks like heaven for thrill-seekers and water babies alike (although there’s a minimum age of 5 years to enter). Can’t swim? Don’t worry, because life vests will be provided and there are also lifeguards on duty, so it will be safe even for the young ones. But of course, keep a good eye on them either way!
There’s a special Children’s Zone for kids between 5 to 8 years old, but all kids must be accompanied by an adult at a one-to-one ratio. That means if you have two young kids, you’ll need to have two paying adults to accompany them in the Children’s Zone. 9-year-olds and above can challenge themselves to the main inflatable obstacle course.
And as an added safety precaution, there will be a compulsory briefing 30 minutes before your session takes place, and the entire play zone will be closed from 2PM to 3PM daily for safety checks.
Make sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment, as there is a limited number of tickets available each day to allow for safe distancing. There is currently no on site ticketing available. If the weather is rainy and not conducive for outdoor activities, your ticket will be forfeited unless you opt for the $2 per pax option to change your day/timing due to inclement weather.
Each slot at HydroDash water park is 2 hours long (excluding the 30-minute safety briefing, so make sure to turn up early!)
Concerned about the jellyfish sightings recently? HyrdoDash says that the water quality at Sentosa is monitored and checked regularly by the NEA. NParks also outlines some safety tips, such as exposing as little skin as possible. If stung by jellyfish, wash with vinegar (do bring your own) or sea water and then seek medical advice at the lifeguard station.
You are free to bring your own food and drinks, but make sure to clean up after yourselves and keep the beach area clean for the enjoyment of all beachgoers! There are also beverages and small snacks available on site. Alternatively, there are several dining options such as McDonald’s, Old Chang Kee, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, etc. within easy reach at Beach Station.
Lockers are also available for rent, but it’s on a first-come first-serve basis. According to HydroDash’s website there are toilets and changing rooms a 2-minute walk away from the ticketing booth.
Lastly, ticket prices for HydroDash are $10 for 5-8 year olds, $18 for 9 year olds + (including adults), and $60 for a group of four.
