5 Top Stalls in Seah Im Food Centre You Have to Try

This hawker is located right beside Harbourfront MRT and the bus interchange. If you’re in the Harbourfront area, why eat at the mall when there's a super hawker next to it? Seah Im Food Centre is also known for their wide array of halal food here, which makes it a great choice for our Muslim friends. On a weekday afternoon you’ll encounter some office crowd, but on our sunny shores that’s just part of the experience! Which are the stalls in Seah Im Food Centre that you should most definitely try? Read on and find out more!

1. Tian Ji Niang Dou Fu (#01-52)

For those that can’t decide what to eat, Tian Ji Niang Dou Fu makes the choice for you with a standard offering. They serve a mixture of fried ngoh hiang, wanton, tofu and more, with a pleasant mixture of both fried and boiled items. Get it in dry or soup, or the stall also serves laksa soup to go with your yong tau foo! There’s usually a queue, but all good things are worth the wait.

2. Kheng Nam Lee Curry Rice (#01-53)

Right next to Tian Ji Niang Dou Fu is this famous curry rice known for their assam fish, and you’ll spot many office workers ordering dabao and bringing it back to their offices to savour. Try to get here early if you can – not unheard of for the assam fish to be sold out by noon! Apart from the assam fish, you'll also find the usual curry rice suspects like fried chicken, pork chop, cabbage and long beans. A light and aromatic curry gravy is then drenched over the food. Simply droolworthy!

3. Farasha Muslim Stall (#01-31)

For some great, old-school fried chicken, head over to Farasha Muslim Stall. The nasi goreng ayam comes with a hefty piece of fried chicken with impossibly crispy skin and tender meat, served alongside fragrant fried rice. You can also opt to have it in the maggi mee version instead! No matter how you're feeling, Farasha has a really extensive menu to cater to your taste buds. Don’t pass up on their great housemade sambal chilli!

4. Shi Ji Noodle Stall (#01-56)

Shi Ji Noodle Stall has been here for over 30 years serving up lor mee and braised duck noodles (speaking of which, have you checked our list of Best Lor Mee in Singapore and voted for your favourite stalls yet?) If you’re not a fan of lor mee, the braised duck noodles come with a rich and comforting herbal broth, perfect for those cold rainy days.

5. Cai Ji Boneless Duck Rice Porridge (#01-58)

Duck lovers you’re in for a treat, because you also have Cai Ji Boneless Duck Rice Porridge to choose from. The stall offers yam rice or white rice to go with your tender duck slices, and you can also choose extra add-ons like gizzards, braised egg, preserved vegetables and many more. Together with the tender duck and flavourful gravy, the rice makes for a very satisfying lunch!
