4 Scenic Drives to Take in Singapore

Taking time to wind down from the daily stresses of our lives is important in preventing exhaustion and burn out, and for some Singaporeans there’s no better way to do so than to go on a long drive. Many locals also love road trips to Malaysia! While we’re thrilled that the causeway is open again, work and life obligations might not allow all of us to take that much-deserved vacation. Not to fret, because here in Singapore we also have our fair share of scenic drives. Put on your seatbelt, turn up your music and wind down your windows!

1. Mount Faber

We may not have winding mountain roads in Singapore, but driving up Mount Faber is as close as it can get. Winding through the peaceful roads surrounded by lush greenery, you’ll forget you’re in Singapore even if it’s just a couple of minutes. Finally, take in the view of Singapore’s coastline and skyline from the viewpoint at the peak of Mount Faber Park!

2. Tampines Industrial Ave 2

Even if you’re a resident of the east, you might not know about this road off Tampines Avenue 10. It’s rather remote and difficult to access without a car. Without any tall buildings in sight, here you can see uninterrupted views of the clear blue sky against the empty field. If you need to clear your mind, we can’t think of a better scenic drive!

3. Ocean Drive

A drive into Sentosa is always a fun time, but make it extra special with a drive through Ocean Drive and Ocean Way. Ooh and aah at the beautiful houses and estates, as well as the wonderful views of the ocean. Try to time your drive for the evening, just in time for the glory of the setting sun!

4. Tanah Merah Coast Road

This 16-kilometre road is one of the best scenic drives in Singapore. Come here late night or in the early morning and stop along Aviation Park Road. With nothing but the open sky and quiet roads, it is truly therapeutic here on serene nights. Other than driving, you can also cycle here on the dedicated cycling lane!
