5 New Nature Parks to Explore in Singapore

Despite being a concrete jungle, Singapore is also home to plenty of intentional green spaces. If you think you’ve explored them all already or you’re up for a change of scenery, here are 5 new nature parks to explore in Singapore!

1. Kingfisher Wetlands

New to the family of gardens and domes at Gardens By The Bay is Kingfisher Wetlands. The latest attraction here, this new freshwater sanctuary is a must-visit for bird watchers and nature lovers. It is home to over 200 mangrove trees and related plants, and you can also try to spot the migratory birds that stop by the Kingfisher Wetlands. Best of all? The park is completely free to enter!

2. Guillemard Road cycling path

Not technically a park, the new cycling path in Guillemard Road is a new path for cyclists in the east to travel towards the city. Originally a 1.2m path that connects the existing Geylang and Sims Avenue Park Connectors, now it’s been widened to 3.8m with an exclusive path for cyclists. We also hear that another path connecting Queenstown to the city is in the works!

3. Bukit Gombak Park

Bukit Gombak Park is the latest addition to the Bukit Batok Nature Corridor. Located on a hill 45m above sea level, visitors can look forward to a challenge on the inclined, 400m looped hill trek. Apart from the panoramic view of the forest at the top, there’s also a butterfly garden, a play area with a 5.3m slide, as well as a dog run for your furry friends!

4. Coastal Arboretum, Pulau Ubin

You might know Chek Jawa and the cycling trails on Pulau Ubin, but the next time you're there, there’s the new coastal arboretum on the west side of the island to explore! Housing 500 trees from over 70 native coastal species and critically endangered plants, the coastal arboretum is also a resource for students and researchers studying Pulau Ubin's rich biodiversity.

5. Pasir Panjang Park

Living in the west coast? The first section of the Pasir Panjang Park has been open since last year! Even though the park will only be fully completed in 2026, there are already some fun things to see and do here, like the nature play garden with interactive equipment for young ones to play with, along with cool sculptures of maritime artefacts by the walkway!
