Gong Cha Opens New Airport-Themed Concept Store With Travel-Inspired Drinks

The Covid-19 pandemic has many of us suffering from wanderlust, with little ways to soothe it. With that in mind, Gong Cha has set out to satisfy your thirst for travel with Gong Cha Terminal, an all new concept store at Singpost Centre.

The concept store was designed to look similar to a departure hall, complete with self check-in counters, boarding gate, and window seat views!

Taking flight with you are eight different limited edition destination drinks brought to you from around the world – Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, USA, Mexico, Japan, Canada and Vietnam. Each cup of bubble tea comes complete with decorative stickers with the country’s airport code.

Let’s take a look at the drinks!

Bamboo Charcoal Milk Foam Drink (S$5.80)

Make your first stop in Taiwan, where the Bamboo Charcoal Milk Foam Drink is a classic. It features a rich black tea topped with a generous layer of bamboo milk foam, complemented by a drizzle of caramel syrup, as well as white and black pearls.

Mangonada (S$5.80)

Mangonada takes you and your taste buds on a wild adventure to Mexico! Made with mango purée, soda, green tea and finished with red hot chilis, this sour and spicy concoction definitely comes with a kick. Choose your level of adventure from mild, spicy and hot!

Grape Vinegar Tea ($6.80)

Konnichiwa! You’ve landed in Japan. The Grape Vinegar Tea is slightly tart, which is balanced out by a fruity sweetness from grape syrup. There’s also green tea, soda, and aloe vera cubes in the concoction, making it a refreshing drink especially on hot days!

Roasted Caramel Caffe Drink (S$4.80)

Need a midday pick me up, or missing Vietnamese coffee? Try the Roasted Caramel Caffe, a nutty aromatic Vietnamese coffee with caramel syrup and topped with a generous layer of milk foam.

Rose Bandung Drink (S$4.50)

There’s no way Gong Cha would not have a drink that doesn’t feature our little island! Our local favourite rose bandung gets glammed up with alisan milk tea, rose syrup and topped off with white pearls.

Maple & S’mores ($5.80)

Our next stop is Canada, a country synonymous with maple syrup. The Maple & S’mores features Gong Cha’s signature milk tea drizzled with maple syrup and topped off with torched marshmallows on a stick! Sounds like a cosy campfire night.

Cranberry Tea Ade ($4.80)

Next we travel north to the land of the free. The American-inspired boba tea is Cranberry Tea Ade – a refreshing mix of alisan tea and cranberry syrup, topped off with star-shaped jellies!

Daebak Banana ($5.80)

Finally we arrive in South Korea! Gong Cha’s rendition of the region’s well-loved banana milk is amped up with a generous amount of chocolate drizzle and a thick layer of milk foam, then finished with chocolate crisps on top!
