7 Foldable Bicycles in Singapore From Just $130

Cycling is becoming the in thing in Singapore, with many locals getting in their cardio with night cycling sessions, or cycling their way to work. Or maybe you’re a delivery food rider looking for your next reliable ride! Collapsing into a compact bundle, foldable bicycles are fuss-free, don’t take up much space at home and can be brought onto the MRT with you (provided that they don’t exceed 120cm x 70cm x 40cm when folded). Whether you’re looking at getting one for work or for play, here are seven foldable bicycles in Singapore!

1. Jiji.sg Casual Foldable Bike

Jiji.sg is an online retailer with an extremely wide and random range of products. You can find anything from furniture to fresh flowers here. Their Casual Foldable Bicycle is priced at just $129.90, which is the cheapest we’ve found in Singapore. Admittedly, it is not the most stylish looking, and it only has one gear, but online reviewers seem to be pretty happy with their purchase! But in case you change your mind, Jiji has a 100-day return policy.

2. Decathlon Tilt 500

Decathlon is many people’s go-to store when it comes to sporting goods, and their foldable bicycles definitely deserve a shout out. At $360, the Tilt 500 is a wallet-friendly and great entry-level option. It even comes with seven gear speeds to conquer different slopes and terrains! This foldable bike conforms to LTA regulations for bringing onboard buses and trains, and it takes just 15 seconds to unfold and switch from pedestrian to cyclist.

3. Bolt Classic® Foldable Bike

The Bolt Classic® Foldable Bike has everything we want in a foldable bicycle. It’s comfortable, picks up speed fast, ultra-light and portable. Designed in Germany, the Bolt Classic Foldable Bike is technologically advanced and ergonomically designed. It even comes with a 10-year warranty, so any unlikely damage will be covered. Its original price is $450, but they are still running a 10.10 limited sale where you can get the bike at $390. There is a 7-day return and refund policy so you can try the bike in the comfort of your own home!

4. Dahon K3

The Dahon K3 is the perfect companion in the city. Weighing in at just 8.1 kg, this ultra-compact and lightweight folding bike makes going from cyclist to pedestrian that much more effortless. It comes equipped with a 3-speed derailleur to navigate different terrains and get you where you need to be, comfortably. If style is a big thing for you, the Dahon K3’s simple silhouette stands out on any street. Get it on Lazada for $799!

5. Tern Link D8

The Tern Link D8 is made to be an everyday travel companion, whether your trip is exclusively on two wheels or in combination with buses, trains, or automobiles. It comes with an 8-speed drivetrain for all the range you need in the city, and folds in under 10 seconds. At $1,200, it even has a luggage socket, so you can attach a front luggage: rack, basket, or bag with the Luggage Truss attachment.

6. Brompton Folding Bike

Brompton folding bikes have been handmade in London since 1975. What’s special about Brompton’s bikes is that they can be custom made to your exact specification, from colors, handlebar, gear options, riding styles and accessories. Prices are hefty starting at $2,580, but their popularity (they’re on backorder till 2022!) speaks for itself.

7. Tyrell FX

If you’re really serious about cycling, the Japan-made Tyrell FX is equipped with 18 speed gears and lightweight carbon parts. Reaching up to 40km/h, it can even go toe to toe with full-sized racing bicycles. The FX does away with the straight handlebars and adopts the drop bar to put you in a more aerodynamic position. It’s not cheap at $3,980, and it might not be the ride for folks with bad backs. But if you’re looking for some extra speed without sacrificing portability, it’s worth taking a look at.
