Love a freshly baked bagel? There’s no reason not to! They’re great anytime of day, rain or shine, and be it for breakfast or a post-workout refuel. Not to mention they’re so incredibly versatile! Whether you like the trendy rainbow bagel or classic staples like lox and chives, we’ve got a lineup of the best spots for bagels in Singapore!
1. Two Men Bagel House
Of course we had to begin with the crowd favourite and grandfather of bagel joints in Singapore – Two Men Bagel House! Everything here is baked fresh daily and these New York-style bagels are wonderfully inventive. Think Personal Best, a spam bagel served with a sunny side up hashbrown, peanut butter and spicy aioli. Two Men are known to have a cult following and tend to sell out before noon, so try to come early!
2. Dutch Colony Coffee Co
We love Dutch Colony for a good cuppa joe and their great coffee subscription service, but let’s not forget about their brunches and bagels! Our favourite is hands down the Pastrami Bagel that comes with beef pastrami, spring onion cream cheese, sauteed onions, baby spinach and sesame. Of course, other classic combinations like the Salmon Bagel and Avocado, Bacon & Egg Bagel is just as satisfying!
3. Able Bagel
An online-based bagelry, Able Bagel was born out of a love for all things bread. Established in 2020 as the world came to a pause, the homegrown brand has quickly made a name for itself with a creative menu and twists on local flavours. Try the Bello Mio which includes nduja (pork), scrambled egg, parmigiano reggiano and rocket, or go classic with the Love U Lox! <3, a salmon and cream cheese bagel.
4. Wild Honey
We’re not the first to rave about Wild Honey’s bagels and we most certainly won’t be the last! In case you didn’t know, their Delancey bagel was voted Best Pastrami by Cuisine and Wine in 2018! Enjoy hand-sliced beef pastrami, poached eggs, tomatoes & grain mustard hollandaise on a sesame bagel. If you’re craving for something classic, then you won’t go wrong with the I Love NY featuring creamy scrambled eggs and smoked salmon!
5. Onalu
We love Onalu because there truly is a bagel for everyone here! If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll enjoy the Jam & Nutty bagel that’s topped with house-made jam and almond butter, or the Kaya Thyme featuring house-made kaya and salted thyme butter. Need something heavier and more filling? Consider the Deviled Spam – a hearty combination of spam, cheddar, monterey jack cheese and mashed deviled eggs.
