A few months back, we wrote about the most unique Starbucks outlets in Asia. But since it's been a hot minute since anyone was able to travel and explore other countries, we've sussed out 10 of the most aesthetically unique Starbucks in Singapore worth travelling to.
Rochester Park
Housed in a pre-war colonial bungalow, it’s easy to see why this Starbucks has been named as one of the most beautiful Starbucks outlets in Singapore. Its interior design retains an old-world charm, and as a standalone outlet it is a lot quieter than other Starbucks in town. Worth paying a visit for a tranquil afternoon reading with a cup of coffee away from the crowds.
Address: 37 Rochester Drive, Singapore 138640
Tekka Place
Recently opened during Deepavali this year, the Starbucks at Tekka Place has largely flown under the radar. What sets this outlet apart from the others is the artworks on the walls – and the artist behind three of them is their own barista, Sastitharan Subramaniam. Aside from his artistic talent, Sasti also holds the title of Starbucks Regional Barista Champion, so you know you'll be getting great coffee here.
Address: 2 Serangoon Road, #01-06/07/08/29 Tekka Place, Singapore 218227
River Safari
There’s lots to do in Mandai for a local touristy day-out such as visiting the Singapore Zoo or Night Safari. But did you know it's also a great place for a cup of coffee? Sitting right outside the entrance of River Safari is a Starbucks out surrounded by nature. Reminiscent of a rainforest resort, this outlet has floor-to ceiling windows that provides a beautiful view.
Address: 80 Mandai Lake Road, River Safari, Singapore 729826
Jewel Changi
To no one's surprise, Starbucks’ two-storey flagship store in Singapore is an absolute stunner. Decorated in the garden city theme with wood and plants all around, what's unique about it isn't just its interior, but they've got an exclusive four-tap nitro coffee and tea menu, along with a Art Room filled with commissioned and heritage art pieces.
Address: 78 Airport Boulevard, #02-204, Singapore 819666
One Fullerton
For a panoramic waterfront view, One Fullerton’s outlet has outdoor sheltered seats right next to the bay where you can chill and have a cuppa. Come during sunset on a clear day for a front-row view of Marina Bay Sands and ArtScience Museum against a backdrop of orange and blues.
Address: 1 Fullerton Road, #01-04 One Fullerton, Singapore 049213
Paya Lebar Quarter
Inspired by Paya Lebar Airbase, you'll find industrial elements like grey tiles behind the counter and shutter panels in the partition walls. As one of the few Starbucks Reserve outlets in Singapore, you'll find many exclusive drinks and treats here.
Address: 10 Paya Lebar Road #01-14 Paya Lebar Quarter, 409057
Katong 86
Paying homage to the Peranakan heritage in Katong, you'll find arched doorways and Peranakan-inspired artwork hanging on the walls of the Starbucks outlet at the Conservation Building of Katong Square. The airy shop is a pleasing palette of pastels complemented by wood furniture. If you’re in luck, sit by their large windows to watch the world go by.
Address: 86 East Coast Road #01-02, Singapore 428788
The Shoppes @ Marina Bay Sands
The Starbucks outlet at MBS has to be the classiest one in town, with its use of dark and light wood furniture and warm lighting. The space is pretty cosy, perfect for an afternoon catch up with a friend or taking a break after shopping at The Shoppes. You'll also find Starbucks Reserve at this store, which is essentially the highest grade coffee at Starbucks.
