5 Places Where You Can Buy Wagyu Beef For Your Own Japanese BBQ At Home

Wondering where to buy the freshest meat for a yakiniku at home? Don’t settle for mediocre meats from the supermarket, this article is for you!

And also, don't forget to vote for your favourite Japanese BBQ restaurant in Singapore!

Yakiniku Plaza

S Foods Singapore is the leading exporter of Japanese wagyu beef and you can now enjoy artisanal meats at competitive prices on their e-commerce Yakiniku Plaza. Available online include the A4 Wagyu Karubi ($24/100g) that's known for being beautifully marbled with lots of umami, A4 Japanese Wagyu Red Tender ($21/100g) which is tender lean meat, and the A4 Japanese Wagyu Sirloin ($29.90/100g) that's juicy and flavourful.

You can opt to self-collect your orders at their factory in Woodlands, or choose a time slot for home delivery. A $20 delivery fee will be charged for orders below $100.

Meatlovers

A window for all wagyu lovers in Singapore to have a taste of premium and authentic wagyu, flown in directly from different parts of Japan. Here you can find different brands of wagyu, such as the famous Ohmi Wagyu from Shiga Prefecture ($69.80/250g), A5 Sendai Gyu ($118.80/250g), Tajima Kobe Beef ($378/900g) and many, many more. Seriously, they have the widest brands of wagyu beef I've seen in one place!

Orders will be delivered within two working days. Enjoy free delivery for orders above $120!

Zairyo

Zairyo is an online Japanese gourmet grocer online that offers a selection of freshly-imported food products including, yes, wagyu. Their Murata Wagyu ($18.50/100g) from Hyogo Prefecture is a crossbreed between the Japanese Black male and a Holstein female to produce a well-marbled beef that is delicious without being overly cloying.

Delivery is free for orders $100 and above. For orders below $100, there is a flat fee of $10.70. Alternatively, you may choose to self-collect from their warehouse after placing your order.

Wagyu Beef Singapore

All the meats from Wagyu Beef Singapore are sourced from accredited farms so you can ensure you're getting quality products here. Their A4 Tender Yakiniku Cuts ($98/500g) is tender, juicy and rich, made specifically for your at-home yakiniku session with family and friends. You can also find A5 grade ribeye and sirloin steaks here!

There is no minimum order to enjoy free delivery!

Ginkakuji Onishi

Ginkakuji Onishi is a Kyoto butcher shop that was brought in last October by Aston Soon, the owner of Astons Specialities. Apparently, he was a long time patron of Ginkakuji before he decided to open the shop in Singapore. Which is great news for us, because now we have access to a wide range of prime wagyu cuts that are not readily available elsewhere!

Ginkakuji Onishi do not have an online shop, so the only way to purchase their products is to head down to their store located at 122 Tembeling Road.
