Unlike cities like Tokyo and Bangkok, Singapore might not be the most adventurous when it comes to animal cafes due to legality issues. But that’s not to say that we don’t have our fair share of cat and dog cafes!
Living in such a fast-paced city, the daily grind and obligations can become taxing. And since not everyone can have the luxury of owning a pet, soothe your weary heart amongst the company of these furry friends!
Cat Cafe Neko no Niwa
The first cat cafe in Singapore, Cat Cafe Neko no Niwa is the purrfect place to unwind with coffee, cakes and cats. After visiting several cat cafes in Japan, founders Sam and Sue wanted to bring the same experience to Singapore. They are firm proponents of cat therapy and the indescribable joy and relaxation that it comes with. Standing firm to their ethos of adopt, don’t shop, founders Sam and Sue made a decision to only adopt cats for their cafe.
A visit here will cost S$12 for an hour, and S$5 for the subsequent 30 minutes. Plan on staying longer? Get a 3-hour special for S$24, or even a full day pass at S$32! Children must be seven years old and above.

We are the Furballs (WTF)
For dog lovers, head over to We are the Furballs where you can meet and play with nine resident doggos. Singapore’s first dog-petting cafe, the space is divided into two sections: the Playhouse and the cafe. At the Playhouse, there is lots of space where you can interact with the doggos. Why not also get some dog treats ($3/packet) to reward them for being such good bois and good girls? After you’ve had your fun, hop over to the cafe for a drink, and shift your attention to your friends over some board games!
To visit, children must be at least 10 years old. Enjoy the doggos’ company for 1.5 hours at S$10.90 from Mondays to Thursdays. Local students below 20 enjoy a $1 discount on these days! The entry fee for Fridays, weekend and PH charges will be $12.90.

Meomi Cat Cafe
Meomi Cat Cafe houses nine beautiful felines, all of them pedigree breeds. The space might be small, but it’s cosy and allows for up close interaction with the cats. On a lively day, you might find the cats perched above and less willing to mingle, so we recommend coming on weekdays or on off-peak hours. The friendly staff here are always happy to share about felines and their different temperaments!
A visit here will be S$13 an hour, inclusive of a complimentary drink. Subsequent 30 mins at S$5. Kids (must be above six years old) pay S$9 for the first hour and $4 for the next 30mins, also including a complimentary drink!

They are all adopted or former strays and you can find their introductions around the walls, including tips on how you can get into their good books! Apart from adorable cats, the space also serves up light bites, pastries and desserts, alongside freshly brewed coffee, tea and soft drinks.
The minimum age requirement here is six and above. The first two hours are at $16, inclusive of a complimentary soft drink. Or top up to upgrade to coffee, tea or chocolate. Subsequent 30 mins will be at $4.
