10 Restaurants Where You Can Try Plant-Based Impossible Meat

Famous for its meat-like taste and texture, Impossible Foods is a growing trend across the globe and they have opened up a whole new world for vegans, vegetarians or anyone looking to lower their meat intake. It may seem a little bit of a stretch to imagine a 100 percent plant-based alternative that tastes like everyone’s favourite red meat, but if it’s good enough for an internationally renowned steakhouse like Cut By Wolfgang Puck, then the folks behind the ground-breaking Impossible™ Meat must be doing something right.

From satays to pizzas and meatballs, here’s where you can try Impossible™ Meat for yourself!

Three Buns at Potato Head

Three Buns serves up not just one, or two, but three versions of Impossible™ burgers: the Impossible Hombre, Impossible Chedda, and Impossible Dream. The Impossible Hombre is their newest addition to their Impossible repertoire, and features Impossible hot chilli, roasted peppers, sour cream, cheddar cheese, jalapeño pickle and three islands mayo. The Impossible Chedda is made with double ketchup, cheddar cheese and onion puree, topped with cucumber and jalapeño pickles, while the Impossible Dream is made with XO mayo, cheddar cheese, tomato, ketchup, onion marmalade and a sprinkle of bawang goreng (fried shallots).

PS. Cafe

The restaurant’s plant-based PS. Impossible Burger features a thick and juicy Impossible™ patty blanketed with a sharp vintage cheddar cheese, topped with wilted spinach, sautéed mushrooms, fresh tomatoes and crispy onions. Sandwiched by toasted sesame buns, the dish also comes with a large side serving of shoestring fries. Their Great World City outlet has also taken it up a notch with the Impossible Bombay Koftas that come with cauliflower and potato hash, tomato, cucumber and mint salad.

Privé

Dig into executive chef Robin Ho’s Impossible™ Meatball Spaghetti which is a meat-free spin on the classic meatballs and spaghetti. Other choice picks includes the Pan-Fried Impossible™ Gyoza made with Impossible meat and water chestnuts, as well as the Plant-Based Truffled Mushroom Swiss Burger, which features creamy field mushrooms, vegan Swiss cheese sauce, caramelised onions, wild rocket, vegan truffle mayonnaise, vegan buns, and served with fries and mesclun.

Curious Palette

Located at Prinsep Street, Curious Palette isn’t your typical cafe and it shows in their dishes. If you’re craving for a meat-free snack or something to share, try out their PETA Fries which is topped with Impossible™ meat ragout, homemade vegan cheese, house pickles and scallions. Prefer something more substantial and filling? Go for their PETA Bolognese, a meat-free take on the classic pasta dish.

CUT by Wolfgang Puck

You’d think a world-renowned steakhouse would be all about the beef (and it is), but surprisingly they also cater to those who want something as good as the real deal! The Impossible™ Sliders is a remake of the restaurant’s signature Mini Kobe beef sliders. It features a medium-rare grilled patty, sandwiched between two mini brioche buns with smoked shallot jalapeno marmalade, garlic aioli, ketchup and house-made sweet pickles.

Bread Street Kitchen

Another world-class restaurant at Marina Bay Sands, the Impossible™ meat is served here either on flatbread topped with shallots, mozzarella, and rocket pesto, or in an Impossible Wellington served with glazed carrots, baby corn, and greens. And since everyone’s doing a burger, Gordon Ramsey’s version is layered with Monterey Jack cheese and sriracha mayo, with a side of fries.

Pizza Express

Pizza Express’ plant-based dishes are here to tick all our Meatless Monday boxes and help the planet too. Pizza Express’ Impossible Curry pizza is topped with vegan mozzarella, passata, red onion, red chilli, garlic oil and kale, while the Impossible Teriyaki is served with sauteed leek, vegan mozzarella and spring onions, finished with a drizzle of vegan mayonnaise and teriyaki sauce.

Violet Oon Satay Bar & Grill

Chicken, mutton, beef or plant-based satay, anyone? At the Peranakan restaurant, the meat-free skewers are just as flavorful as the meaty counterparts with generous seasonings of herbs and spices before they go on the charcoal grill. Available at Violet Oon Singapore Satay Bar & Grill, the dish is served with a spicy peanut sauce topped with grated pineapple, rice cakes, and cucumbers and red onion.

Papi’s Tacos

Mexican cuisine has a decent selection of vegetarian options, but sometimes we want something more than just beans and rice. The Impossible Taco at Papi’s Tacos is a mesh of juicy Impossible™ meat with creamy guacamole, tomato salsa, lettuce, coriander and guajillo hot sauce. If you want something hearty and a little more filling, then the ‘Cheat On Beef’ Burrito will do just the trick.

Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beers

At Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beers, you now have the option of substituting all their burger offerings with Impossible™ patty. You’ll be spoilt for choice with more than 10 different burgers to choose from, including The All-American Burger, The Pizza Burger, The Old Fashioned and The Greg Norman. But founder Chris Barish’s personal favourite is The Mexico City, featuring medium-rare Impossible™ patty stacked with pepper jack cheese, crispy onion ring, pickled jalapeños, cilantro, and chipotle mayo.
