Covent Garden Kway Chap

Covent Garden Kway Chap is another popular stall in Havelock Road Food Centre, and with almost 60 years of history it’s not hard to see why. The family-run business specialises in kway chap with all the usual fixings: intestines, pig skin, braised egg, tau pok and more. The broth is well-balanced – neither too light nor too jelak, with a tinge of herbal notes. Fried shallots are also scattered on top before serving, adding another layer of flavour and texture to the dish.
