He Zhong Carrot Cake

He Zhong Carrot Cake has been here at Bukit Timah Market & Food Centre since 1973. What is it that makes them special, you ask? First of all, they only do white carrot cake here. Secondly, their carrot cake is still handmade to this day according to a special secret recipe! The resulting dish is a plate of flavourful, eggy and springy carrot cake chunks, generously topped with mildly salty chai poh. Chilli is also smeared on the top to add some additional flavour and spice!
