1929 Mask is a family business, started by Kennon Lee who roped in his parents, experts in textile manufacturing, to help produce one of the first reusable masks. Their masks are treated with anti-microbial and water-repellent agents that last for 100 washes, and they have been tested by various international test centres for water repellency, bacteria filtration efficiency and chemical safety for your peace of mind. 

The homegrown brand also created extenders, designed for those who wear head covers or hijabs and may find it difficult to wear a face mask!

Style Lease

Local bridal label Style Lease are making masks made from doubled satin! Breathable, functional and reusable, it includes a hidden pocket where a removable PM2.5 carbon filter is included. The masks are made using fabric from pattern off cuts to reduce wastage and are currently available in 3 colourways. Each mask is $25, and part of their proceeds are donated to the Migrant Workers Assistance Fund. Local label Ans.Ein is selling reusable cotton masks to aid front liners in essential services. Available in both adult and kid sizes, the masks also reflect designer Anseina Eliza’s Indonesian heritage with batik and tie-dye prints. Other options include solid-coloured masks that include colours like pastel pink and mint, or earth-toned colours like light brown and dark grey.

OliveAnkara

Most of us know of the local, eco-friendly label for its West African wax print textiles. Now they’re serving up reusable face masks in tons of fun designs, many of them in matching parent and child prints. All the masks are made from 100% wax print cotton and include a pocket to fit a surgical mask.
