7 Kid-Friendly Restaurants and Cafés in Singapore

Dining out with some tiny humans in tow is not always the easiest affair, so it helps that there are kid-friendly cafés and restaurants in Singapore! With play areas and toys to keep young ones entertained, adults can dine in (relative) peace here. Not to mention, there are also yummy kids’ meals apart from the usual chicken nuggets and fries!

1. Open Farm Community

A popular spot for adults to treat themselves and their kids to a nice day out is at Open Farm Community. With a 3,000 square foot garden of edible plants to explore, a playground and sandpit, a family grocer garden and collection of quirky sculptures, there are many things for kids to explore here. On the kids’ menu you won’t find a single nugget or chip. Instead think healthy, fresh and inventive posh kids’ nosh like the Rustic Fish Pie made with fresh thyme from the garden!

2. Marche Movenpick

This chain of restaurants with locations at Suntec City, Vivocity and JEM is a great spot for both the kids and parents to enjoy a meal out in an affordable fashion. Everyone gets a time out with fun kids’ offers and plenty of tasty, freshly prepared food! The picky eaters’ menu includes a main, a juice or soft drink, an ice cream, as well as a craft pack to keep the kids occupied. Oh yeah, and there’s also a play area, which automatically makes the restaurant a winner in our books.

3. Coastes

Coastes is a massive hit with families thanks to the easy-going casual atmosphere where dogs and kiddos are welcome. After all, it is the ultimate laid-back, beachfront, family-friendly restaurant and bar in Singapore. There are lots on the menu here for kids from waffles to pizzas and fruit platters. For adults, take the chance to enjoy a tipple and laze on a beach chair while the little ones build sandcastles!

4. CoComelon at CLOVE

Clove by Swisshotel is now CoComelon World! Folks with kids should be no stranger to  CoComelon, a well-loved YouTube channel dedicated to kids. The themed-cafe offers a fully interactive dining experience featuring school bus tables and seats, CoComelon-themed utensils and dishes such as TomTom Favourite Burger, Bingo Paw Bun and the Soup in CoComelon Bun. After the meal, there are also a myriad of toys and merchandise exclusively available for purchase only at this unique cafe!

5. SandBank

This casual East Coast Park diner’s beachside location allows the young ones to have heaps of fun playing in the sand while you sip on cocktails. If you prefer to have the kids close by, there’s a 15m plunge pool that spans the front of the outlet. Adults can get in on the fun too! While a third of the pool is dedicated to children, the rest is for adults. Completing the experience is a kids menu, kid-friendly utensils, high chairs for babies and a shower area just around the corner.

6. Little Spot

Located right inside our very own UNESCO World Heritage site, the Botanic Gardens, Little Spot (formerly Food For Tots) is a very kid-friendly café in the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden. The kids’ menu has plenty of affordable options for kids – from yogurt and fruit bowls to beef burgers, pancakes and babycinos. The café is also right next door to the sand play area so the kids can play while you unwind and enjoy your lunch date!

7. Wheeler’s Estate

The sister restaurant of Wheeler’s Yard, Wheeler’s Estate does breakfast, Australian style steaks, burgers and fish and chips, as well as picnics in their lovely outdoor garden. There’s also a lovely playground nearby where kids can play in view of their parents on the lawn. After you’re done with your meal, go on to explore the Seletar Aerospace Park and go plane-spotting!
