Working on projects at a cafe while sipping on a cuppa? Check. No-pants Mondays at home? Check. Just when you thought we've exhausted all possibilities of remote working as a society, something new pops up on the radar.
This one is for all the movie buffs out there – Golden Village is rolling out a new work-from-lounge concept where you can work from its ultra-plush Gold Class lounge at Suntec City! Called the Z.E.S.T (Zen, Entertainment, Taste, Space) @ Gold Class, you can enjoy access to the luxurious Gold Class lounge from 12pm to 6pm (high-speed wifi included) and enjoy perks including a complimentary cup of premium coffee or tea, a box of regular GV popcorn, free-flow water, and an exclusive movie discount voucher at $6 for a weekday movie and $9.50 for a weekend movie.
That’s not all – for an additional S$5 (promotional price), patrons can also take a cat nap and rest on the recliners at Golden Village's Zen Zone between 12pm to 1.30pm or 2pm to 3.30pm.
This first-of-its-kind work-from-lounge concept allows patrons to work or study from a conducive space without the long-term commitment required by conventional co-working spaces, or the time limitations that are often in place at local cafes.
The work-from-lounge concept is only available from Mondays to Fridays, excluding eve of public holidays and public holidays.
Until Oct. 31, Golden Village will be offering introductory prices for the following passes:
- Z.E.S.T @ Gold Class: S$15 (U.P. S$25)
- Z.E.S.T. & Zen Zone @ Gold Class: S$20 (U.P. S$35)

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, entertainment venues like Golden Village had to adapt quickly. Other recent innovations by GV include the M Pass, which is a value-for-money movie pass for patrons to catch recent titles.
They are also selling exclusive fabric masks to keep up with the times.
According to GV, the theatre has had to think outside the box to continually appeal to patrons and create new revenue streams.
