6 Best Dog Runs and Dog Parks in Singapore

All dog owners would know how important it is to keep your pup stimulated, lest they start taking out their excess energy on the new couch at home… And the usual walks around the block can get a little mundane. A day out to some of these dog runs and dog parks in Singapore is a great alternative and a great way for your doggo to stretch its legs and socialize. Here are some of the best dog parks in Singapore. Whether you’re staying in the ulu north or in central, you’re never too far away from a dog run.

1. Bishan Park Dog Run

Ah, of course. Bishan Park Dog Run is arguably the most famous dog park in Singapore, mainly thanks to its convenient location. The park comprises two fenced areas, one for small to medium-sized dogs, and the other for larger dogs. There are also water taps and benches all over the park. After your pup is all worked out, fill up your tummies and enjoy the next part of the day at the dog-friendly The Canopy.

2. Sembawang Park Dog Run

Sembawang Park boasts one of the largest dog parks in Singapore. Located on a slope, there are lots of green spaces for your pooch to run around and do the zoomies. You’ll get a workout too as you’ll have to hike a little to get here, but there are many tables and benches across the space where you can rest. Washrooms and water coolers are just a stone’s throw away so you can freshen up after!

3. Jurong Lake Gardens Dog Run

The Westies rejoice over Jurong Lake Gardens Dog Run, one of the newest and largest dog parks in Singapore. If you have larger breeds like dalmatians and goldies, you’ll likely find many of your own kind here. The 2,200-square-meter field is also designed with grass mounds which provide natural obstacles for your dogs to get a decent workout.

4. Parkland Green

The largest dog park in the east, Parkland Green is located in East Coast Park. Other than walking your dog on the beach, the flat grass field here is perfect for your doggo to run around, explore, sniff other dogs’ butts and make new friends. In addition to the dog run, there is also a bird perch right next to it where bird owners come to showcase their trained birds.

5. Tiong Bahru Sit Wah Dog Run

Tiong Bahru Sit Wah Dog Run is a treasured spot as the only dog run known in southern Singapore. Tucked away behind the alleyways of Tiong Bahru’s hipster cafes, this quaint little dog run is a great place to bring your pooch to in the morning, and the trees provide comfortable shade. After that, head to the nearby pet-friendly cafes that offer outdoor seating for your furry date!

6. Punggol Park

The dog run at Punggol Park might not be something to rave about, but it’s more than sufficient for small dogs to stretch their legs. There's also a pond nearby which will make for a nice short walk on a leash. And you can always engage the doggos with a game of frisbee or fetch! It’s a decent pen area with space, shade and greenery. The best time is at sunset!
