Ever wondered if the food delivery rider who brought you your food had his meal? If you’ve had this thought and wondered if there was a way to thank them, Thai GrabFood rolled out the perfect solution: a brand new feature that allows users to purchase a meal for themselves and for their delivery rider.
In order to do an act of kindness, all users have to do is open up their Grab app, select ‘Food’ as usual, and select the ‘Buy 1 Share 1’ option to see the list of participating eateries. AFter selecting a restaurant, the menu list will provide details on what the driver will get from your order. For example, if you’re ordering a large bubble tea from Dakasi Tea, your rider can get a medium bubble tea – all without any extra charge.
With GrabFood delivery riders considered as front liners in the coronavirus pandemic, working tirelessly to help make everyone’s life easier, this initiative has been warmly received by users. Every little bit counts, and a simple kind gesture can help make a rider’s day.
What do you think of this feature? We’re hoping that it will be rolled out to Singapore soon!
