10 Online and Physical Thrift Shops in Singapore For a Good Bargain

Singapore is a shopping paradise filled with malls, multi-concept stores and independent labels everywhere you go. But as Singaporeans, we also love a good bargain. So whether you’re a fashionista looking to cop some vintage finds, or a thrift shopper eager to expand your wardrobe on a budget, we’ve sussed out all the favourite stores for thrift shopping in Singapore. Happy shopping!

New2U Thrift Shop

A fave amongst hipsters, bargain-loving hunters and students at the nearby art schools, New2U Thrift Shop is managed by the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisation (SCWO) and sells donated gems like past-season designer goods, preloved statement pieces, household items and many more for prices as low as a dollar! You can even look forward to half-price days a few times a month. So not only could you find yourself a hidden treasure without hurting your wallet, it’s also for a good cause as all the sales are donated to Star Shelter and various SCWO initiatives.

Refash

Refash offers a platform for fashion-forward women to buy and sell their preloved items both online and offline. Browse and pick through the collection of clothes from brands like Topshop, Forever 21, ASOS, ZARA and established blogshop brands! Prices start as low as $5, but generally the pieces here are not as affordable as the other thrift shops in this list. The upside is that the stock is updated almost daily, so there’s always something “new” for everyone!

Something Old Something New (SOSN)

Something Old Something New is a social enterprise thrift shop selling preloved items, and it also serves as a platform training and equipping persons recovering from mental health issues with retail and logistic skills to boost their self confidence and employability. On top of that, SOSN is also a “green” enterprise which strives to care for the Earth and operates with the “reduce, reuse and recycle” principles.

EXIT Co.

Born by three friends over the lack of vintage clothing stores in Singapore, EXIT stocks a fusion of vintage and trendy streetwear that ranges from popular labels like Supreme, Tommy Hilfiger, Champion and more. Many folks are always looking to get their hands on their items, but EXIT also has a Telegram channel where they post their sales campaigns and drops so you can know as soon as something good comes up!

MINDS Shop

We love a thrift shop with a good cause! Short for Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore, the MINDS Shops empower and provide MINDS’ clients with pre-vocational retail and customer service training. There are four stores islandwide, each one carrying a unique range of furniture, houseware, clothes and other items. All proceeds go to the MINDS trainees as allowance.

Loopgarms

Love the 90s look? Look no further than Loopgarms. Opened by Isaac and FJ who have been collecting vintage pieces since they were teens, each item here has sentimental value to the duo along with a story behind them. Inside, you will find yourself vintage items like graphic tees with huge prints and American varsity tees. If you’re looking to offload some of your items, you can also bring it down to Isaac and FJ who will appraise it.

@retro.spectives

Think of @retro.spectives as an online thrift store. The only catch is that your fingers have to be fast enough because items posted on his page can be sold as soon as under a minute! You’ll find many clothing of the same brand, such as Nike, Patagonia, or items in the same style such as polo tees, graphic tees and windbreakers.

Style Tribute

This is for all the ladies looking for some second hand designer clothes. At Style Tribute, you can get branded items like Chanel, Gucci and Prada at a fraction of the price (we're talking up to 90 per cent off the retail price!) So if you're looking for some slightly vintage fashion from these designer brands, you know where to go.

Dark Horse Vintage

Looking for clothes made for an old soul born in the wrong era? Dark Horse Vintage has second hand vintage clothing from all around the globe, from 1960s sundresses to flamboyant maxis from the 1970s, along with vintage accessories such as handbags, purses, earrings and oversized sunglasses to top off your vintage styling. The best part is no one here will have the same items as you do because Dark Horse Vintage only picks one of a kind pieces! Shop online now.

Salvation Army Praisehaven Mega Family Store

How can we have a list of Singapore thrift stores but not mention the Salvation Army’s store? Being the largest pre-loved goods place, you’ll find just about everything from clothes and jewellery to household furniture and accessories at reasonably low prices. The best part about shopping here is finding a branded item or brand new threads with the tags still attached but at a steal!
