99 Fried Hokkien Mee
This non-descript stall serves hokkien mee that comes with thick bee hoon and yellow noodles along with fresh prawns, some squid and slivers of pork belly in a flavourful prawn broth. The noodles are slippery and adequately umami, having soaked up the broth. The sambal isn’t too spicy and it’s slightly sweet, complementing the noodles nicely. Other dishes on the menu include fried carrot cake and fried oyster omelette.
