Guan Hoe Soon Restaurant

Another Joo Chiat stalwart, Guan Hoe Soon Restaurant has been serving comforting Peranakan dishes since 1953, making it one of the oldest spots in Singapore for Nyonya cuisine. Historical value aside, you can expect mouthwatering dishes that are skilfully prepared according to time-tested recipes that have been passed down from one generation to the next. This spot is also said to be the Peranakan joint of choice for the late Lee Kuan Yew! Specialties include Ngoh Hiang, Nonya Chap Chye, and of course, the Ayam Buah Keluak.
