Covent Garden Kway Chap

Covent Garden Kway Chap is a popular stall in Havelock Road Food Centre, and with almost 60 years of history it’s not hard to see why. The family-run business specialises in kway chap with all the usual fixings: intestines, pig skin, braised egg, tau pok and more. The broth is well-balanced – neither too light nor too jelak, with a tinge of herbal note. Fried shallots are also scattered on top before serving, adding another layer of flavour and texture to the dish.
