Depot Road Zhen Shan Mei Laksa
A Michelin Bib Gourmand awardee, Depot Road Zhen Shan Mei Laksa was founded in 1995 and is now manned by its second-generation hawker. They are known its Laksa served in a claypot, however, the claypot has been dropped in recent years. This is probably one of the reasons why its popularity has dwindled, but we think the stall is still worthy of a visit. The broth is slow-cooked over two hours using a unique blend of spices and ingredients, resulting in a thicker and more flavourful gravy. The noodles are nice and firm, and you’ll also find a mix of prawns, shredded chicken, fish cake, cockles and coriander.
